Programming and Math💻🔢
Do you have to be good at math to be a good programmer? Should you pursue a computer science career if you’re bad at math? Let me know your thoughts.

@Apoorva in my opinion no need to be good in maths for programming anyone can pursue his/her career in computer science with basic knowledge expression and logic is evaluted because programming is only need passion and ability to convert innovative idea in implementation
and their are some languges which has least use of maths
but one who know maths can do good in programming also because it helps in making small logic for large problem by using the formulas and algorithm eg: for calculating gcd of number, printing series of trigonometric function
and one who know maths can also go in the field of cryptography and can make good algorithms whic is helpful to secure your data

hmm... ;)

@Apoorva: 1. Yes. 2. No.
We can just remove the veil of what actually takes to be -for instance- a Full Stack Web Developer by googling mocking interviews. We might think that wining challenges on these coding websites -like SL, FFC, HK, CW, etc.- is enough, but clearly you need a wide range of logical and mathematical knowledge to start with. Otherwise, there's no way you'll succeed.
Think about big data, AI, finance apps, which are the most valued today.
Hm. Yes. Not having logical/math knowledge is a big no-no for most IT/IS careers.

what about physics?

ooo..big relief after see @gawen post... i agree with u@gawen

Yes it has some impact.
But don't need High-level maths though

It doesn't matter too much imo but it sure helps when you are good at math

Math skills help out a lot. But you mainly need middle school math experience to start out easier. Also the type of projects you work on can help determine whether or not to make programming a carrier or a hobby. But study up on math and you should be ok for a while.

Haha, Johnny! That's quite what I thought after reading Gawen Steasy's post. :-)

@Apoorva, what's your take on this?

I ll highly recommend to watch this video first to understand the relevant branches of mathematics,
This guy has did an awesome job in helping u visualize it, must watch for beginners as well as professional
it ll give u a good idea of domains in mathematics which branch out to fields of programming.

what I think is that you need basic knowledge in math, but not like a mathematician.

Maths helps to develop our cognitive and expand our logical horizon, I believed is a prerequisite for any programmer in that sense

Hey Everyone,
I think maths can also be done with a calculator!
So, no worries 😎
