what is the easiest (most efficient) language?

Question

I just finished the Ruby tutorial and it seems very condensed much like python. i also thought php was fairly simple. comparing it to JavaScript they are world's away as far as efficiency Imo. I'll be taking the older languages like c# Java and c+ next and wondering if I'm in for more hurt with those. what do you think?
