arraylist textfile java

Question

I used an arraylist to save my strings to a text file, how do i read those strings back. Basically designing a student database app so i need to be able to save a students details hence the arraylist, and now i need to be able to search for a student and bring up there details.

You would want to use the get(index) method in a loop for that if I understand you correctly.
