Dangerous or...? Eval, exec and validation

I see threads all the time with "don't use eval" but little attention on input validation.

What's the difference? Should SoloLearn add content covering input validation?

(Disclaimer: I have industry security experience; I'm asking what _you_ think)

I think Security is important, but I think it shouldn't be part in a basic course.
