What is the best course of study to pursue to get a job at a cryptocurrency startup?

Blockchain & cryptocurrency technologies are the new still-wild-west area of great growth and opportunity, akin to where the web was around the turn of the century. What concepts, skills, languages etc should one study to take advantage?

I think that you'll need to know, at least, the concepts about networks, p2p protocol, cryptography (I don't remember right now which one is used). But, specially, GPU, how does the Graphic board work to make crypto currencies and Operating Systems.
