morpheus, yes of course. my answer at first was a direct one to the question, but I don't recommend this. even if we're speaking about a simple static service (page?), you need to take in consideration everything related security, connection bandwidth, data redundancy. I mean. the optimal setup is not a regular dekstop. you need a proper server, energy back up, etc. that's why we usually pay some bucks to hosting :)

you ll need money to buy .com s domain name, but there are other free domain extensions like .ga , .tk etc for example mine is www.my_real_name.ga
Note that .GA or .tk extensions are not secure and should not be used to host sensitive material .

its not wrong , I mean the best way to learn develop and test full stack features for web development with ease is lamp , wamp etc but the post is not about that.
