Modulo vs Remainder (a quoi serv-t-il)

Is the result simply representative of the quotient w/o a remainder? Where is the remainder represented?

I understand now . . .! In the exercise 7 % (5//2), the answer to the (5//2) is 2. The parentheses are completed first. The 7 % 2 part is asking, in essence, what is the remainder after 7 is divided by 2. The answer is, the remainder is 1.
