where should I go next

should I look for another course for java and try out what i learned here

I downloaded Oracle jdk and eclipse ide for java been messing with them.

First of all I recommend using IntelliJ Idea. Great tool with great features.

Now you can try looking for tasks and training your skill. Like "today I will create a simple clock". At point when you want to create gui, stackoverflow and youtube is your friend.
