Run my project on an isolate environment

hello guys!
what is the best way to test my project in an isolated environment???
let me explain my question with an example
for example you are benchmarking your java code
and you have already some jvm process in your os
it may effect your benchmark
so how do you run your tests in a clean environment to reach the best result
i know somethings about virtual machines that allow me have multiple os, but i dont need diffrent os, just a clean environment is enough

vps are virtual machines, i mentioned in my questions, i dont need to create a new os
