I wondered the same type of thoughts with the genome project. Would diseases become a thing of the past? I used to read fascinating scientific journals on breakthroughs etc and how pills are made to target only cancer cells blah blah. I see the same things going on with AI and this huge talk. I think a lot of it is hype. Not too different from end time prophecies. You can choose to believe it. I wouldn't place my bets on possibilities though. The bird has not hatched out of the egg. It really could be anything. As for logic and reason, what some may call variables, I call indeterminate.

2050 is not that far away.... what AI will do by then all depends on what the people who are learning it right now, will make of it.
some of those ppl being in this site, probably!
