Procrastination in the path of programmers is totally okay, don't be scared or feel discouraged. This happens a lot in the industry, and even well regarded programmers do face this,. Just keep in mind, the reason why you starting coding, what you want to achieve, and also try to make up for the time you spent procrastinating.

You need to ask yourself why you are trying to learn this skill. If you don't have a end goal it's going to feel mindless and you'll get lost. For me I wanted to learn so that I could make a few handy applications for myself. Later it became I needed to learn to advance my career. If you don't have a want or need it's going to be difficult to convince yourself to move forward with this. I suggest coming up with any project idea that you might have fun doing and then challenge yourself to at the end of every lesson find a way to relate that lesson to your project. Also don't force yourself to take every lesson if you already have prior knowledge just take the time to do the test that allow you to skip sections you already have knowledge of so the information doesn't feel redundant.
