What's the value of ?

2nd question:
C++ walks faster than Python, Java walks slower than C++. Who walks faster? Python or Java?

3rd question:
Although James answered 10 questions incorrectly, he got 12 out of 20 (12/20) on a test. If he receives the same number of points for each question answered correctly, how many questions were asked?

6+2 = 8 => H (8th alphabet)
3+6 = 9 => I (9th alphabet)
4+8 = 12 => L (12th alphabet)
