Making website step by step

Hello everyone. I'm wondering is there any free book or website where I can implement the knowledge from Solo to reality? I mean to create a website step by step.

First, what is the purpose, the idea behind this website? Do not think about CMSs, frameworks yet. Learn from the scratch. You are about creating a portfolio, simple blog od what?

To do so, You need to think about structure of this site. Take a piece of paper, draw few pages - front/home, contact, projects etc. You can also take the not SEO (much) friendly approach - Simple One Page. After that, share the progress with Us, we will help You :)

First I was thinking about creating my portfolio where I can put my next projects/websites. The best thing is that I can always update my portfolio with my new knowledge and ideas.
