Currently there are also many framewors for the construction of Web Apps that are entirely based on JS and that give you facilities for development; and in the same way there are ways to connect to a database using technologies like Node.js

It is also useful in creating Alert, Prompt and Confirm boxes.
Further it provides platform for jQuery developers.
