WHY IS IT

Why is it that 7.6 <= 7.60 true? They are the same thing, it's not less than.

lolz... '<=' means 'less than or EQUAL TO'. Obviously, (save for significant figures), 7.6 is equal to 7.60, so the 'equal to' part of the sign is true. If you want strict 'less than inequality', use < 7.6 < 7.60 would be false
