Can I create my own API for android APP using Python

Question

So I am creating a project with a couple of buddies and I need to create an API. This is my first time creating a big project and creating my own API. I don't know where to start. The project that we're working on will have an app for Android and IOS. And I want to use python to create this API. If there are any tips about creating APIs for Android in general and using python in specific please let me know.Finally , how can I make it very secure .

On android exists working python bins...Search python-for-android on google... I dont know on iOS but i think that also exists on it
