If you are totally beginner, then go with Java. Cause, you will get a lot of resources on internet if you get stuck with any problems.

On the other hand, if you have knowledge about building apps with programming languages before, then go with Kotlin. Cause, if it will save your time as well as help you to learn new technology and step ahead from others.
