Yes HTML is actually basic to build a web page. Later on you design that page with CSS. And make interactive with JavaScript.

You can make a website with only HTML but it won't have such a pleasure to look at it without css and if you want interactivity with the user you need to know Javascript

yes you can, but you will miss all the animation you can do with java script and CSS. I wrote my web page, 'home.earthlink.net/~rrs0', many years ago in html. This was when only Jpeg's, Gif's and animated Gif's were available. It still works, back then I used netscape as my html editor.

You can, but the website wouldnโ€™t be colourful. Learn CSS to make it more stylish and attractive and learn JavaScript to make animations and make the website more interactive. It is recommended to also learn CSS and JavaScript, but not required.
