How do people estimate pixel positioning so well?

So I've been experimenting with the Processing program and started messing around with pixel positioning. I started making small simple sketches like doodles and smiley faces, but noticed I took over 30 minutes to just create a smiley face. Most of it was trying to pinpoint specific pixel points through trial and error and pure estimating. I noticed that some people know the pixel coordinates so well they could create lines specifically wherever they wanted them with a single try. Is there a trick to this ability or is it just practice. Will I one day just magically know exactly where the coordinates are from experience? Cause if a smiley face took me 30 minutes I don't want to imagine how long I'll take for something bigger even though I'd probably do it anyway. Sidenote: Not discouraged, I actually had tons of fun and felt huge accomplishment when the smiley face was created Btw 😂

I'm guessing it's through trial and error and experience.
