Website uploading on server problem

Question

I have uploaded HTML files on host server but on opening site it shows repeatedly "Directory listing" with the list of my uploaded files also I've tried uploading with FTP Client bt problem continuous. Now, what should I do to overcome this problem so that it shows the website directly not list of my uploaded HTML files?

What are you using cpanel or other things. First clear it then we can help. If you are using cpanel then there is a folder name with public_html in File Manager. So you can upload file directly in the folder. So this problem will not overcome.

If you are using other things then you have to first clear that what are you using.
