I don't know what a text editor is.

I just started this program today and it talked to me about a "text editor" but I don't know what a text editor is, or how to find one. Can somone help me out?

A text editor is just a program that lets you.. edit text. If you are using Windows, you already have one, called Notepad, however it is not very good for programming because it lacks features like syntax highlightning. I personally use one called Atom but its up to you which one you want to use.

Throughout the HTML exercise, you will see a little green box with the text "Try it Yourself.

Once you click on that text you will be taking to a text editor.

This is called Code Playground. You will spend the majority of your time with this text editor. You can save and publish your codes via the text editor.
