What language is best for my needs

Im trying to build a social network/ social media app. This app will have tons of animations etc. What language should Learn first. As of now im learning python but i dont know if its the right language for this mobile app. Please help. Thank you

Michael you are on the right track with python... and as Sonic pointed out JavaScript and PHP7 are good options...
