I think you should go for C language even if you've done C++ C language is the basis of Deep rooted understanding of programming and computers altogether. Everyone recommends learning C to actually become a good programmer no matter what language you will be using. Kh Muhammad

UraL we can't deny the fact that C is mother of all even if people attack us. C++ is favoured more because it is more modern, somewhat easier for people and people find C to be outdated. But you just can't get the links between the hardware and softwares so well without C. It helps us join the dots
