I haven't actually finished it yet, but I think that course will only teach you the basics of the language and its syntax. You can also do code coach challenges or challenge others (community challenges) to get more familiarized with the language.

However, in terms of its uses and applications, you'll probably have to look for other resources. I think there are a lot of community-made lessons on topics outside of the C course, but can be applied using C such as data structures and algorithms.
