A Programmer`s Foundation.
1. Starting by asking - Why do you want to learn programming? "if coding is not something you want to do then probably you haven't found your Why". Learning needs Love and Passion. 2. Starting small, no rushing, be patient .As long as you keep moving you are on a good shape. "No matter how slow you are but if u keep going you will reach your destination." Learning needs Time and Patience. 3. Dare to ask, no one is born knowing anything. "By asking then u will find your way"

@Ang Hendro That is a better answer my friend. Well done! Imagine a world where programming is second to that of spoken language. We've just increased the global intellectual index.
We would also eliminate the fear of the unknown. Lot of the times younger people run away just from the sight of code. In fact, it should be widely accepted. It's our natural next evolution as human beings. In my opinion of course lol!

It's a little more complicated than just passion. Sure, it helps drive you to what you truly want to do, but I wouldn't claim it as a primary focus. I'd say that to have a good foundation in programming you need to have an understanding of basic logic. Also, why so defensive? We are living in a world were learning the basics of programming is going to be the next generation. Leave it for those who do? Come one man, that's like saying apples and oranges are only for people who enjoy it. This is totally the wrong mindset. We want to help paved the future for the next generation and by saying what you said doesn't help encourage beginners or newcomers. Everyone should be able to learn freely without judgement.

Thank you for all your replies. I'm glad you all have contributed ur thoughts and feedback on how to create a good foundation to start programming.
To Mark: Everything starts with a big Why? that's the first point is all about. it's not about judgement or anything like that. Sorry if my statement has created a misunderstanding.
I have edited the quote for positive inputs.Thanks for ur great view.
The second point is to believe in yourself. You don't have to rush to learn but as long as you r moving you r in a good shape.
The third point is to support you when u lost ur way by asking help and answers.
thanks everyone.

desde que tengo conocimiento, he querido programar. la vida, me llevó por otros derroteros, pero nunca es tarde, y acabaré trabajando como programador, aunque sea para excursiones a los jubilados de mi barrio;
