Loan calculator variable type issue

Question

So I’m doing the loan calculator project at the end of the conditionals and loops unit of the Java course, and it’s giving me issues with the type of the amount variable I’m using. Has anybody else had this problem?

How do you add code from a course? It’ll only let me get code from the independent projects
