Why is 25 % 7 = 4? And 70 % 17 = 2?

hi, mod ow gives reminder value of a division. Consider the first one where it is 25%7
now 7 three times equals 21. so the remainder is 4(as it cannot be divided further)
next 70%17
17 four times equals 68 so remainder is 2(can't further divide). hope this clears your doubt:)
