I'm actually very interested in rails.. it looks advanced but simplified. it's like an all-in-one.. is there any downside to it?

well I figure I would want to go with one that will be around and also have a great community.. I just assumed that being Google's, angular would be the best..

After jQuery, I learned AJAX, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails as part of a tutorial.

The point of AJAX is to perform queries and requests from a server direcly without actually having to reload the page. I personally do not see any use of AJAX as long as/if you do not know a server side language (be it PHP or any similar language).
As for Angular You should learn it when you're enough confortable with Js and when you do know why you want to use it and not just to follow trends. My opinion of course.

Now it's been 6 months and Im not interested in PHP anymore. Or angular, for now, I've learned node.js Express and mongodb/mongoose with pug/Jade and it's been awesome however I love Vue.js I'm not interested in angular or react. I see jobs a lot asking for those tho. And I hear about the mean stack and mern stack alot. So I guess angular it is I just wish Vue was more popular.. it's the best of react, ember and angular after all but it is still fairly new I suppose.
