If i reset progress of any language i m learning will it decrese my experience

Question

i was learning cpp and had gained 142 experience and then i reset the progress it decreased my total experience (what i have not reset xp was 2309 and now 2203 !!!!
why??

yes, it loses xp. I found that out the hard way too. No clue why it does that...

I'm assuming this will enable you to rebuild the XP as you go through the course again... This might be useful if you lost XP skipping questions when you first took the course.

Could be wrong though.
