do programmers need to be good at math to become a good programmer?

It will be an advantage, yeah. But it is not exactly required. You will learn a lot of math without even knowing it whilst learning to program. I've learned a lot more whilst developing my own applications and such than I ever did with the awful education system. Don't let it get you down if you're not great at math, you will learn more as you continue to learn programming. Hope this helps buddy!

a lot of programming is math inspired and the "way of thinking" is quite similar but you dont need to be a math graduate or engineer to be a good programmer

yeah , i'll studying programming in college so i afraid that i couldn't catch up and be left behind because of my poor math skills . btw , thanks Iwert !
