Which languages should I learn to become a Web designer ?

Question

I want to become a Web designer and I just started to learn how to code. (I started with html) I know that I have to know css but I don't know about other languages. Could anyone tell me what other languages I should know ? (I love to learn so I'll probably learn a lot)
Also since I want to have a decent qualification ; if any French person could tell me what studies I can do to become a Web designer I would be thankful.

For web development: Start with HTML, and then move on to CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, and SQL.

Thank you for your answer. I have another one ^^' Do I have to pay for photoshop and illustrator ? I started on clip studio paint since I got it with my Wacom tablet. But if it's necessary I'll try to work on photoshop.

i think you need to learn Javascript, Flash, PHP or jQuery + (html,css)
And also some things that may make your design more professional like photoshop and illustrator.

It is not necessary to use Photoshop. There are also alternatives like Gimp and Inkscape (free). But overall it is not necessary

inkscape is open source program it works like illustrator and gimp like photoshop , both are free But not as efficient as Photoshop and Illustrator
