CREATE A TREE STRUCTURE ON A WEB APP

Hi there! I need help to contruct a kind of tree for my web app. I have a div or a tab and i want to generate (add) contents from this tab, so is like i want to append contents to this "root". From there i want to generate other sub-tabs and so on. Thanks a lot for the further help!!!
