How much time does Best SoloLearner spend?
Hi Community! I wonder how much time – You, Best SoloLearners and Learners aspiring to be best – spend on gaining XP? I know it is the relative question, that's why this topic is here :) What is Your motivation to do it, how does it impact Your life, work-life balance? I think it is important for New Joiners to know it :)

For Xp: None to very little.
(It took me more than a year to get to platinum. I don't really care for xp.)
For making codes: A LOT !!!
Xp is meaningless if you don't know how to actually make a code.

I got my platinum on July 2nd, it took me 3 days to get 5000xp, I challenged almost everyone continuously to achieve this.
Motivation:Now I'm aiming for the epic badge, it's my new motivation.
work balance: It's my vacation, so I'm pretty much free all day
when I don't do challenges I work on codes or continue lessons. I've been on sololearn for 2 years
My suggestion to new challengers: Just challenge till limits reach to anyone who accepts your challenges and html is best for gaining XP. while you can gain more XP in scripting languages but you won't find much challengers and if you lose, you lose more. It's a gamble

above all, thank you for mentioning me Jakub Dubański ;)
if I remember well,I use sololearn app since 2 years but it's just during these 6 last months my addiction really started and it took me a month for the platinum level 😄.
wasting my time to learn coding (self learning) benefits me a lot because this year I don't have many activities.the next year I will enroll myself in engineering school
so now I can take care of my actually business while having fun on sololearn!!
self_learning learns me one thing :
"your dreams can come true through the power of persistence."👍

it took 1.5 years to reach platinum
as I dont focused on challenges, because xp doesnt matter for me.
I focused on coding as I want to improve my coding skill, also want to experimenting with my coding knowledge.
My aim here is to get Creator Master badge, and inspiring others
here are some people that inspired me the most:
Amethyst Animion is a cool guy, that inspired himself with his cool codes
Andrew G is my favorite coder, that made many cool code, even not all people can see it because he have the most codes here (486 codes, I guess)
Swapnil Srivastava is an obfuscation coder, some of my unique idea is come from him (especially on obfuscation)
Art.R.M.Y is a young girl, that made some cool css codes, she also supporting me here

Jakub Dubański It gets reeeeeally tedious to gain XP after you reach a certain level, so I am no longer focusing on XP. Once I reach 100k in Python, I'm done ;)
Being a part of the collective modship here I am often lurking behind the scenes every now and then to check up on the community's well-being. So in practice it's a couple of hours a day, if you sum it up 😉

well I don't remember how much time it took me to reach the Platinum, I reached it about a year ago (3rd to reach). At that time i used to spend 4-5 hrs here daily playing challenge, learning.
Well biggest motivation is my love towards problem solving and programing.
If doesn't effects my life, because my life is all about mathematics and programing, in my free time i usually have a problem in my mind to think about the solution. I remember once when i was going to sleep, I'm thinking about a mathematical pattern in the number theory, and ya i woke up and found a very interesting Pattern, although i wasn't able to formulate it that time, but i did it after few months.
Work-balance: I'm a student pursuing my degree in Computer science, so it won't effect much, sometime it also helps me in my academics.
My best advice is keep practicing!
the more you practice, better you will be.

Muhammad Akmal Naim Hans Larry maybe You could start it :) Both Platinium addicts :)

It took 45 long days to platinum
Sololearn came to me as a challenge. A fellow schoolmate gave me a challenge to achieve platinum within 3 months.
When i came to sololearn it was a totally different experience for me. I was so engaged in learning that i didn't even left my phone for hours.
The thing that inspires me the most is the thirst of learning.
I am inspired by most of the people on sololearn. But there are some who inspired me the most.
Charan LEo25 had inspired me the most, i owe him a big thanks for giving me some valuable advices and suggestions.
Amethyst Animion is also a cool guy, he gave me some of the most valuable ideas that i can get.
I owe Ahsan Wasif a big thanks, he is one of my best friends on sololearn. He is a Very good guy.
I earlier used to earn 1000xp a day. But then i slowed my pace after platinum. It is not the xp that matters, it is the knowledge you obtain from sololearn.
Sololearn has impacted my life on a great scale. It has been of a great importance in my life

My motive is to learn here..
..
I does not care about xp.
my motive is to face any challenge head on.
and
I believed, if we prepared our mind and focus on that work.
slowly and surely we reached our desired point in our life.
my father always say to me.
learning is the second nature of all human beings .
we just only try to accept that knowledge by heart...
I message to all my fellow member.
there is nothing you cant achieve in your life..
just believe in your self......
"study like your life depends on it"
do anything with that point in your mind...

I used to spend a lot of time completing challenges as a way to blow off some steam from the final exams I was writing last year and to make my way up the local leader board. Nowadays I occasionally complete challenge storms but my attention is mostly directed to moderating the community to keep it clean. SoloLearn has done a lot for me... keeping the community clean and friendly is the least I can do. It's my way of saying thanks
It's made my life much easier; I'm doing my first year in university and the things they're teaching us now have been covered by SoloLearn. The basic programming mindset SL has provided allows me to complete most of my assignments at ease and on time, making my first year the opposite of what people said it would be (overwhelmingly difficult.)
SL's become vital in my life, I met a lot of influential people here, people like ChessMaster, Wongalethu Sidwell Jezile, Michael Ngwerume, Valen.H. ~, Kuba Siekierzyński, Supersebi3, NezhnyjVampir, Deepak Gautam, Hatsy Rei and many more ^_^

I got platinum in 120 days. I focused more on learning. As a result, I know a little bit of HTML, CSS & vanilla JS besides getting platinum.
I try not to spend more than 2 hours daily on SoloLearn. I have real life matters, studies & exams. I usually spend around 30 minutes.
I also devote some time in creating & reviewing quizzes.

Sreejith hardcore approach -> 3days/5k xp!!!!! sick :) congrats!

I have been here for almost a year now, and I am still not platinum. I actually don't want to and I believe in not wasting time for it.
I don't get the logic behind playing challenges and becoming platinum.. I mean one should be rewarded for what he codes and not for applying maths in challenges. Its good to see that now we are getting XPs on coding challenges but earlier there were none. There is not even a COTD badge around and we have tons of badges for challenges.
Anyway those who enjoy playing challenges are not my target. After all they (and I don't know how) have mastered there reflexes to get 5 on 5 in every challenge and that is, no doubt, great!

I am busy focusing on JavaScript at the moment. Learning P5.js and the Nature of Code by Shiffman. Once I have mastered this my plan is to tackle other JavaScript libraries.
In the beginning I was searching for a language that would satisfy my needs. I found everything I need in a programming language in JavaScript. It provides me with all the tools I will need to create the programmes I want to see. And with the added power of HTML5 and CSS3 I am convinced there is nothing you can't do with these 3 Amigos.
