University gives learners a well structured learning environment and course outline. But it cant 'make' you a good developer no matter how good it is if your mind isn't ready for the material. Only you can make yourself a good developer.

Only if you practice what you learn at university.

From my perspective. I think a person can be a good developer without even having to go to a university. Majority of the best hackers and programmers didn't even study software engineering, It is up to you to build yourself

Mirielle🐶 [Inactive] how is it obviously yes. In that case you can also say "YouTube can make you a good developer" but such line of reasoning is flawed and puts the power in something external to the learner. Furthermore. If anyone is thinking of taking this route, it is wise to learn to code before attending uni. This will ensure higher grades!

It's difficult to learn in university because after every semester every materials changes and you start from scratch to learn those things. You can just study the materials along the syllables and in your free time you can stick to one thing and try to master that. That way you can learn things jn university and still be learning your own favourite language and mastering it separately

That depends on a few factors. For example, some universities only teach you the theory behind developing and the practical aspect you need to do yourself. So universities will teach you theoretical knowledge that you basically just parrot learn. In order to become a proper developer you need to take that extra step and learn skills outside of university. Whether it's creating games on unity, doing online development courses or even just spending the day on stack overflow

University also focuses on extra subjects, and somehow you need to explore things on your own to stay different from fellows (in sense of skills)

No they can't Coz in university you learn to read, get the preamble & earn marks for your result, but been a developer you need xtra on your own- lot of practice & keen to become a developer.

It is important to understand what are you doing in university and for that you need it. Mindless learning will give weak result. But even if you have goal or plan university helps much. Anyway it build base and foundament.
