The answer entirely depends on what you want to create. For example:

Web development - HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.
Game development - C++.
Software development - C# or Java.
IOS development - Swift.
Android development - Java.
The list goes on and on...

There isn't any "best" language. Some languages are better at some task while other ones aren't. But you can still use one language to do every code, but some of them would be faster and more efficient with a different language.

For a job at a company: Java
For web sites: HTML, CSS and JS and PHP
For Windows apps: C++, C#, Java
For Android apps: Java, C++
For apple's platforms: swift
