Is Python a good language to begin with? What next?

I've just recently started a Computer Science course and I was just quickly wondering if Python is a good place to start with. Also, after learning Python, what other languages could I learn next?

Yeah Python is good for beginners, You can stay and master it, but if you really wanna change languages and you are already amateur at it (Probably 8months-1year of experience of Python without any knowledge of any languages except Python) It would be hard, because C++ is different from Python, So is C#, Java, JavaScript, The closest thing to it is probably Ruby and Crystal, But if you really wanna know whats next, then you should probably either learn Rust, Go, Elixir, SCALA, or Lua (They're gonna be so popular soon)
