Should there be a limit for posting questions in Q&A?
Given the latest spam attacks I was wondering why there is a limit for how many challenges I can send in an hour but seems like there is no limit of how many "questions" can one post PER HOUR of course ?!?!

There are tons of very beneficial suggestions which have been thrown out by our fellow SoloLearners. If even just a few have been implemented, the problems we have with spammers and spambots would have been long gone.

@Cipher the last two days I was not able to see the real questions due to some bot spamming. I fully agree with your point, but why would you need to post more than 5 or 10 questions in an hour.
I am only talking about questions, not answers...

Yes. We all agree.
Today it becomes questions platform and how it is seen that it is good for its positivity but today many are noticing negative effects.
I have no problem in it,but they are today discussing not on social matters.
It is on personal matters relating including gossips. I think we have limit on such types of discussion.
Sometimes it scared me that is 99+ notifications.

Absolutely not. Why would there be? If it's due to someone spamming or similar.. simply report and unfollow, or block if needed. There should be no limits at communication within an educational app.
I believe there could be a middle ground. Spamming is bad... yes... but if new restrictions are implemented... I believe that it'd be beneficial for SoloLearn to be more lenient with something else. Think of it like an even trade.
Example below:
We are already limited when it comes to some things... like how many characters are permitted in a question or a first post (I think it's 512). If SoloLearn decides to add another restriction when it comes to posts, I believe they should allow more wiggle-room when it comes to a single post's capacity/size.
If SoloLearn were to limit the amount of posts allowed per hour... and at the same time permitted larger post sizes (or if they lifted the limit completely)... you would not hear me argue or fuss at all.
If the quantity permitted is going to be limited, then in my opinion, there needs to be more leniency with the permitted size of individual posts. An up-front example could be SoloLearn limiting us to 5 posts per hour.. and upping the character-limit per post from 512... to 1024, 2048, 4096, etc. I like the idea.
Let me know what you think. Perhaps we can suggest this to SoloLearn together.

There are no limits in number of questions,
because the average number of challenges by a person is
greater the average number of questions by a person per day.
If we limit the number of questions we could miss one of the greatest questions in Sololearn.
Maybe you will like more if we have no limit in the number of challenges by a person per day ? 😊
I will support this.

@Russel
5 posts per hour is more than enough, if you need answer every 10mins and you can't find it on google and need to post here, then you're doing something wrong in your learning or in searching google. No offense.

Another option... could be to make it where low-levels are more limited than others. Like... in order to have more wiggle-room when it comes to what you can post, how much/many, etc. ... you have to level up and gain experience ... and have a decent upvote average from other users on your posts... etc.
Like... have Sololearn automatically track your progress in many areas... and the more you progress in experience/levels/community .. the more freedom will be granted to you. This would cut down spammer population and incidents as well... because it's usually low levels that spam.

@James -- That's why I included the "community" part. I didn't forget about the helpers. If you were to get good responses when it came to the number of upvotes and replies on your posts, then that too would boost your freedom/flexibility.

Yep ! I am totally with this idea , its simple but would be effective against bots . And why the heck would someone want to post 5 questions an hour , if you have additional questions you might ask in the same question.

That spamming s*** used different accounts to spam Q&A, I think there is a limit like 5 posts in hour. Or it was just posting 5 posts and switching acc.

yeah, that was going on for hours last night. Glad they got that cleared out.
But I dont think I should be limited to how many questions I can ask. Sometimes I work quick with code, especially when my error is something simple. I may have a ton of questions a day. Not that I dont use Google first, and that does stop me from posting a lot, but still...

i think it's more important to manage the notifications! I'm literally scared to comment on a trending question due to countless notifications!!!😡🤤😨😨😭😅
