Is this possible to create a php based search engine . Using php & mysql

if you have any idea , script or any syntax to create a search engine.
plzz answer this question...

Search engines only Indexes web pages.
Taking google as an example they use python web crawlers to... crawl the web and collect pages/page updates and then they index it.
maybe index the web page titles, urls in the database and when you query for a page it looks there and then looks at the pages which is saved.
The most difficult part behind search engines is the algorithms that decides What exactly to index and which sites take priority.

i recomended open sourse engine for search : sphinxsearch. Good choice, very fast work, but need intalled and configured software.
