Am I a bad front end developer if I can't get a job?

Ive been looking for work in this field for about 15 months. Been on dozens of interviews and pass them all, just never get hired. Im starting to feel like these employers think my work sucks or something. I cant to figure out why Im not able to get hired anywhere.

@Garrett... That might be the problem. Networking is much stronger. I avoid those job sites and recruiters at all costs. I'll connect with you on GitHub and we can talk more.

I'm currently fighting off the flu. But when I get some time and can think more clearly, I'll review your Github profile and see if I can pick up on anything. 15 months sounds crazy long. I've never gone more than a few days. The Atlanta market is flooded with great opportunities.

Your Portfolio looks great. And your Github likewise looks good. In any case perhaps you should include server-side languages and projects using MVC, that way you would be more versatile.

@Garrett... Are you interviewing directly with employers or going through a head hunter / recruiting firm?

Do you handle more things than the front-end? I mean, in that way you would be more dynamic and including yourself would guarantee that you can cover several aspects of development. The other thing is that you negotiate the technologies that are in demand or have notions of several frameworks that have undoubtedly become almost invaluable. In any case without having a reference of how your portfolio looks and your CV is impossible to give a reason clearly.

When you have these interviews do they ask you for some sample code?

Ya, an I show them all and talk about it all in the interviews. I pull up my github and start talking about issues I encountered and how I solved those issues and everything.

I don’t understand how employers see things, but maybe spend all of your free time for a month and create the best code you can think of, and it might help, but I do t know for sure. Good luck!👍

I would hire you if it were my company, after all, you can’t possibly know what they want from you, so just keep trying and good luck!

Ya im in Madison, Wisconsin. Theres hundreds of devs here in the same boat as myself. Theres jobs everywhere but the employers always choose the guy with 8 yrs experience for a basic front end job that only requires 2-4 years experience max.

Care To add Free Code Camp to your Github account - Does not compare to Uni ( just my two cents ) https://code.sololearn.com/W7cKz5yfd9dd/?ref=app

Most of these employers seem to be looking for that 22 year old with 30+ years experience in technologies that came out 2 weeks ago lol. The market for web jobs is getting bad.
