Question about Android game development.

Question

I see in varying places, people say that Java is the best language for Android game development. Well, I want to make sure I'm setting out on the right language, and I'm struggling in my search for engines to find a recommended Java based one.
I often come across Unity for C# and cocos2D for C++.

Am I getting something wrong here? That would be my first assumption.

There's also Unity for C++. For game development I can recommend sfml. It is for c++ and easy to learn. Look at sfml-dev.org
