I am learning java (just started) but some one said that start with Python because its easy. Should i stop learning java now?

I guess people are free to choose their path for the journey, if you're enjoying learning Java then don't let anyone dictate you where to go, once you're finished with it however, you're free to choose to learn other languages. This new trend of telling people to follow one's path had grown somewhat irritating, unless they ask for an input, I would let them be with their choice.

If you want to develop android apps you can stick with java....if you want easy general purpose programming language go with python

Java is pretty good and will teach you lots of concepts that will make learning other languages easier. It is also heavily used in business applications
