Wait... did you really just say that C or C++ is hardly used now? That's very misleading and inaccurate to say. Both are ranked higher than most languages, the only exception from what you listed would be Java since it's ranked #1 for quite awhile now. Both are very capable languages, still relevant even today, and still widely used for all sorts of applications.

Sameer Katija also not completely true, c++ is the most widely used language in competitive programming for example(iirc), so no, it and c are still used very often in a large number of contexts
