Maybe you are right Thomas, but let's not discourage him. All I know is the kid's situation can be very different from ours. But still you are right, googling simple questions does create a sense of self learning, and that is very important.

Go to python website and download pyrhon 3.1

If you can't do basic troubleshooting you are not ready to learn Python.
