How do I fix CSS was ignored due to mime type mismatch?

How do I fix CSS was ignored due to mime type mismatch? I opened my webpage on internet explorer and the css was ignored Cross Browser Compatibility Issues

was able to sort it out later just by declaring the Doctype as <!DOCTYPE html>

Kazeem Adebola Idris maybe it is not the problem of doctype manytimes it had happened with me also i just clwared the browser cache restarted my notepad++ and it worked just fine(clearing the cache)

There doesn't seem to be enough information to diagnose properly and troubleshooting this sort of thing can get quite involved if the following doesn't work for you: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16473610/internet-explorer-css-was-ignored-due-to-mime-type-mismatch-on-local-files-no but I sure hope it does!
