How should I prepare for my first developer position?

If I get hired as a developer, how should I prepare. For example, if I'm hired for a Front-End role should I bring books or just a notebook. How would you guys prepare? Please send me your input about how you guys prepare. Thank you!

The very first thing you need to do is get to know your stakeholders (client, teammates, tech support, etc.). Find out their expectations... As a developer, you really dont work on your own...

The next thing you should do is plan. Make a to-do list, consult stakeholders.

I think that the HTML and Css knowledge is basilar as coding with javascript. It is also important jquery for the library, php and Sql. For a basilar web site, without specific grafic objet, you can use only HTML, CSS and Javascript.

well first thing you need to do get to know your environment since we will work in a group and participate in brainstorming session then the next would be plan something like a goal or maybe a to-do list and of course don't get too much tense

Front-end is all about User Experience (UX). Many of us are focused more on making elegant code. But makes a page 'flypaper' sticky is UX.
