Nop, really don't matter if you learn cpp first by default you learn c pure average language.

if your learning to code for the first time, I'd recommend to learn an easier language, such as, Python, C# or JavaScript. But C is not needed in order to learn C++

c++ is not that hard .. i just started learning programing and almost done with c++ .. so far so good
