Is there life beyond numpy?

In the age of numpy/scipy/pandas, I wonder if there's any scientific library that can be preferable, under any aspect, to the Python Tryad.
Do you know any?

check out Julia and even use PyCall to call it or pyjulia the other way from python

most of julias key developers are from MIT its got the brains behind it and its faster lol so in general over time the rest have competition lol
