One day a guy finds himself wanting to customize the CMS (WordPress) to his needs and preferences. At that point, he who learned the web basics smiles, but not he who didn't : )

you're not right. if you study these two technologies very well, plus knowledge of preprocessors, bootstrap, flexbox and grids, you can work as a website coder

That is our modern agony. When common people started making websites, a group of not-so-common people published WordPress so we can just stay dumb and play around those themes and carousels. Oh wait there is wix too, and many more. But you know what: I don't care, I have my website built from bits and pieces of a few frameworks, like a cute Frankenstein and I am really proud of it!

because if you make in WordPress you can't even change it later but in the case of html you can do it. And the other think is that html is also use for progressive web app development . So it is very powerful tool for a person who want to became a web developer .

Learning HTML not only allows for a better understanding of a website, it also allows for the possibility of creating a WordPress theme, although creating a theme from scratch would require knowledge of CSS, PHP, and possibly JavaScript, on top of HTML, but HTML is the best place to begin ~~~(G)
