Landing a gig

Question

Anyone have any experience with getting hired without the general college requirements are certificates and experience gonna make the cut?

I’ve got my AS in CS, but I’m having trouble finding any work. Although I do live in a smaller city in CA. So there’s really not too many opportunities here. I’m currently going for my BS still.

But if you do have the experience, you probably have better luck finding something, but I would include having the certificates and probably a portfolio of some projects you have worked on.

Hopefully, you also have connections to individuals in the field because that would definitely help.
