What is the best procedure to copy a picture url from free website to my practice html page. What extension should I use with the url, gif, jpg, PNG or jpeg. Please explain.

For web design use jpeg, or progressive jpeg wich could be saved by photoshop, they are smallest in size due to their compression algorithm . Also they are more suitable for personal photos due to their wide range of possible colors. Progressive jpeg enables a progressive load to the picture wich will enhance the overall pageload time

Open the image to view, you need to long press on it. When it opens on such a black background, then at the top you can copy the link and it will quietly be inserted where you need it
